Projects

For the production of electrical power so far two power plants with a max. capacity of 5 MW each are currently scheduled: Torre Alfina in the region of Lazio and Castel Giorgio in Umbria. They are supplied with a geothermal fluid with a temperature of 140°C via two or max. three shafts, from a depth of about 1000m. The fluid delivers heat via a heat exchanger to a ROC Plant for the production of electricity.
After the heat exchanger the fluid from the two power plants is directed via underground pipes to a common reinjection point in the municipality of Castel Giorgio via shafts fed back into the formations where it was taken from. The environmental protection system provides various safety and control elements for the pipes and shafts, monitoring of the reinjection conditions and a seismic monitoring system for the territory.
